Bhubaneswar: Renowned Dhrupad vocalist and founder of the Dhrupad Music Foundation, Guru Mukund Dev Sahoo, is set to represent India and Odisha at the prestigious Cosmopolis Festival 2025, organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
Sahoo will mesmerize the audience with his soulful performance, “Om-Tvam: The Eternal Yogic Sound of India,” showcasing the spiritual depth and richness of India’s classical music traditions.
Guru Mukund Dev Sahoo will make history as the first Odia artist to perform at the prestigious Cosmopolis Festival 2025. His captivating performance, “Om-Tvam: The Eternal Yogic Sound of India,” will introduce the rich spiritual and musical heritage of Odisha to a global audience, showcasing the depth of Indian classical music traditions.
Speaking about the upcoming event, Guru Shri Sahoo said, “This journey is not merely a performance, it is an offering of sound, devotion, and the eternal Dhrupad tradition that connects the soul with the timeless Naad Brahma.”
Under the guidance of Guru Shri Sahoo, students from India and abroad come to Odisha to learn the ancient art of Dhrupad and Naad Yoga through the traditional Gurukul system.
The Cosmopolis Festival will be held from October 12th October, 2025, at HKUST and other venues across Hong Kong.
This opportunity is expected to bring Odisha’s rich classical music and spiritual sound traditions to the world stage, inspiring global art enthusiasts and practitioners of Naad Yoga.
