Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik’s ‘Jugalbandi’ paintings are stealing the show at Contemporary Venice 2026 in Italy. The Puri-based artist is the only Indian representing the country at this prestigious international exhibition, featuring talented artists from over 30 countries.
“Today marks a milestone in my journey as an artist. Though my childhood dreams of painting began at the feet of Lord Jagannath. My heart is full, as my ‘Jugalbandi’ paintings are being exhibited at Contemporary Venice 2026 in Italy. From the beaches of Puri to Venice, Italy, I am honoured to be the only artist from India at this international exhibition, featuring artists from over 30 countries. I am deeply grateful for the warm appreciation from visitors and art lovers—it is an experience I will never forget,” Pattnaik shared in a post on X.
