Odisha’s Second AIIMS To Come Up In Sambalpur: CM Majhi

Sambalpur: Launching the CM-KISAN Yojana in Sambalpur on the occasion of Nuakhai on Sunday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced that second All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the state will come up in Sambalpur.

Majhi said that the Odisha government has already taken up the matter with the Centre considering the need for specialised health services in western Odisha. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the process for opening the second (AIIMS) would begin soon.

Launching the CM-KISAN Yojana, he said that the scheme aims to extend financial assistance to farmers who have not been covered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana.
