Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved the establishment of another battalion of the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF), with a total of 1040 posts created for this new unit.
This will bring the total number of battalions in OISF to two, with a combined strength of 2847 personnel. The existing battalion has 1807 posts. The move aims to enhance security for industrial establishments and commercial areas, supporting the state’s focus on industrial growth.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the proposal to bolster security in the face of growing industrial development.
As per a statement issued by the CMO, the state government is prioritizing industrial growth, and with new industries being established, the potential in this sector is expected to increase significantly. As a result, ensuring the security of industrial establishments and key commercial areas has become crucial.
