Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor Pintu Nanda who is undergoing treatment for cirrhosis of liver will be shifted to Delhi for advance treatment tomorrow.
Family sources said that Nanda will fly to Delhi at 7 AM tomorrow for undergoing advance treatment at Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS).
The Ollywood actor is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital here for cirrhosis of liver.
His liver has been completely damaged due to chronic hepatitis, according to hospital sources and he may require a liver transplant.
Doctors treating him here have estimated that Nanda’s treatment would require a minimum of ₹ 50 lakh.
Since it would be difficult for Nanda’s family to arrange such a huge sum, the actor’s friends and fans have appealed through social media platforms to lend financial assistance for the ailing actor’s treatment.
In the meanwhile, several of his fans and philanthropic persons have extended their helping hand for Nanda’s treatment cost.
Members of Odisha Cine Artists’ Association have also come out for helping out in Nanda’s treatment.
Nanda has been a popular actor of the Odia film industry for several years.
He has portrayed characters of villain, supporting actor, comedians, etc. in Odia films.
He is known for his remarkable performances in Odia films-‘Jay Jagannath’, ‘Bahudibe Mo Jaga Balia’, ‘I Love My India’, ‘Saathire’, ‘Prema Paein Mahabharata’, ‘Katha Deli Matha Chhuin’, ‘Love Master’, ‘Dosti’, ‘Prema Rutu Asila Re’, ‘Haatha Dhari Chalutha’, ‘Wrong Number’, and ‘Love Express’ to name a few.
