Bhubaneswar: Renowned Ollywood actor Satyaki Mishra has alleged receiving death threats amid an escalating family dispute over ancestral property and ownership of a prominent business establishment in Cuttack.
The controversy centers on Cuttack Student Store, a well-established bookstore and publishing house located in Balubazar, Cuttack, which has been embroiled in a long-standing familial conflict.
According to Satyaki Mishra’s complaint, his two cousins — Sabyasachi Mishra and Saumitri Mishra (sons of his elder uncles) — are allegedly attempting to illegally seize control of the establishment.
On the evening of February 6, the accused reportedly entered Satyaki’s residence, where they abused and threatened to kill his 84-year-old father, Nrusingha Prasad Mishra. They also allegedly misbehaved with the women in the household. Satyaki lodged a written complaint at the Puri Ghat police station regarding the incident. However, claiming no strong action has been taken against the accused so far, he reached DCP office today to demand police intervention, protection for his family, and justice.
The actor, known for his work in Odia films and serials, emphasized the need for immediate measures to ensure the safety of his elderly father and other family members.
