Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actress Sheetal Patra has levelled serious allegations of blackmailing with her intimate photographs against a filmmaker.
In a complaint lodged with the Laxmisagar police in the capital city, the actress accused filmmaker and owner of Dayanidhi Entertainment, Dayanidhi Dahima of harassing her sexually and mentally. The filmmaker also harassed the actress’ mother and brother, the complaint said.
According to the actress, who was in a relationship with the accused in 2019, Dayanidhi took multiple photographs of their intimate moments while they were in a relationship. Later, he started blackmailing her using them and sent the photographs to her mother and acquaintances.
The actress further alleged that the accused has been demanding that she return all remunerations received by her for professional work in which he was involved. Dayanidhi reportedly also threatened her to make the photos public if she didn’t return the money.
The actress also accused him of groping and assaulting her at her college in front of other students, during which he tore her uniform. The filmmaker allegedly humiliated the actress and her family members on various social media platforms with derogatory and objectionable posts in a bid to malign her image.
He has also been accused of creating fake social media accounts of the actress and disseminating false information about her.
The police have launched an investigation into the allegations.
