Cuttack: Ollywood actor and Kendrapada MP Anubhav Mohanty was today issued notice by the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SJDM) court here with regard to the domestic violence case filed by his wife and actress Varsha Priyadarshani.
As per reports, Anubhav has been directed by the court to file his reply while the next date of hearing has been posted to the second week of November.
Varsha has filed the case against her husband under Sections 12,17,18,19,20 and 22 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005.
Petitioner Varsha has alleged that her husband is a boozer and has debarred her from pairing with any other actor in the movie. Besides, she has been meted out both physical and mental torture.
The actress has also demanded Rs 20,000 per month towards house rent, Rs 50,000 per month for sustenance, Rs 2 crore for medical expenses and Rs 13 crore towards alimony in her another case filed in the Family Court here.
Notably, Anubhav Mohanty has already filed a divorce suit at Delhi Patiala House Court while Varsha Priyadarshani has knocked the door of Supreme Court praying for transfering the case from Delhi to Cuttack. The transfer petition plea will be heard by the apex court on November 16, sources said.
