Bhubaneswar: The leading voluntary organization, Open Learning Systems (OLS), and the Bharati Rath Memorial Academy of Special Human Abilities (BRM-ASHA), felicitated Sangita Nayak for her outstanding achievements in Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Bowling Games in Delhi.
Sangita won a silver medal in the individual category and a gold and a bronze medal in the women’s category at the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Bowling Games held in Delhi recently.
This international competition took place in Delhi from November 18 to 23, with participants from 12 countries. Sangita’s coach, Lillu Bal Mohapatra, was also felicitated on the occasion.
Sangita had been training under Lillu Bal’s supervision for the past three months and had officially joined the game. The felicitation program was attended by OLS Vice President Kasturi Mohapatra, BRM-ASHA Vice President Pradeep Kumar Rath, and member Preeti Sushama, among others.
SOB Odisha Board Member Manatosh Behera, Sports Director Sasmita Mohapatra, State Coordinator Arpita Mohapatra, and all the staff and students of OLS were present to felicitate Sangita and Lillu. SOB Odisha Regional Director Prakash Rath conveyed his greetings from Delhi.
