Bhubaneswar: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Sunday felicitated Om Prakash Behera, the Odisha student who secured All India Rank 1 in JEE Main 2025, scoring a perfect 100 percentile.

The ceremony took place in Kota, Rajasthan, where Behera had been preparing for the highly competitive exam.

Birla, sharing the special moment on social media X, posted a video of the felicitation where he was seen handing Behera a marigold garland and presenting a bouquet of flowers to Behera’s mother, Smita Rani Behera.

In his post, Birla congratulated Behera for his outstanding achievement and praised his hard work, discipline, and the academic culture of Kota.

“Om Prakash Behera from Odisha, studying in Kota, has achieved a historic feat by securing All India Rank 1 in JEE Main 2025. This success is a result of his dedication and the sacrifice of his parents. Congratulations to him, his family, teachers, and the educational institutions of Kota,” Birla wrote.

Behera, who completed his schooling in Bhubaneswar, moved to Kota to prepare for JEE Main. After appearing for the exam, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), Behera emerged as one of the 24 students across India to secure a 100 percentile score.

Behera is the son of Kamala Kant Behera, a civil servant currently working in New Delhi, and Smita Rani Behera, a government college lecturer.
