Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) successfully conducted the inaugural session of ‘LeaDHer 2025,’ a leadership development program driven by Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles, at its Head Office in Bhubaneswar.
The program brought together approximately 137 women employees from across OMC with the aim of strengthening leadership capabilities, fostering inclusivity, and preparing women to take on greater responsibilities within the organisation.
The inaugural session was graced by Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal, Executive Director (P&A) Talat Afreen (SAG), and General Manager (Personnel) Malay Ranjan Kar. They lauded the initiative and encouraged participants to apply the program’s learnings for both personal growth and organisational excellence.
Originally launched in 2024 as a wellness-focused initiative under OMC’s Women Wellness & DEI framework, LeaDHer has now been scaled up in its 2025 edition to focus on leadership learning and development. This evolution marks a significant milestone in OMC’s ongoing efforts to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The one-day intensive program featured expert-led workshops, interactive discussions, and peer learning, addressing key leadership areas such as executive presence, influence without authority, strategic communication, decision-making in complex environments, resilience, emotional intelligence, and team empowerment.
By transforming ‘LeaDHer’ into a structured leadership development platform, OMC has reaffirmed its commitment to building a progressive, future-ready workplace where women professionals can thrive and lead with confidence. Following the successful launch at the Head Office, similar sessions are planned across OMC’s mining regions under the DEI initiative to ensure widespread impact at all operational levels.
