Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (OMFED) is set to enter the chocolate market, with plans underway to set up a dedicated OMFED chocolate manufacturing plant, informed OMFED’s Managing Director Vijay Amrut Kulange.
Speaking to the media, Kulange stated that OMFED’s chocolate design has been developed in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). The organization will submit a detailed project report (DPR) to the Odisha government for capital investment once the DPR is done. With these new initiatives, OMFED is poised to expand its presence in the dairy and food industry.
Apart, OMFED is also planning to launch bottled water in the market within the next four months. The organization aims to increase milk production by 10 lakh litres within a year. OMFED currently produces 120 tons of ghee per month and plans to increase production in the coming days.
