Bhubaneswar: ECRICC – Addressing Climate Emergency, a documentary film produced by Ommcom Media Pvt Ltd and commissioned by Odisha Forest Department and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has won the best film award at the Athvikvaruni International Film Festival held in Chennai in the category of best documentary film.
Directed by Jajati Karan and Manas Parida, the film shot at the Bhitarkanika Sanctuary in Kendrapara district deals with the importance of restoring mangrove forests to help the local population deal with the growing climate change impact.
The Director of Photography of the documentary film is Neelakantha Acharya, editing is done by Saroj Roul, graphic designing by Suvanjay Das, and scripting by Tracy Shilshi.
“Enhancing climate resilience of India’s coastal community project is being implemented across 7 landscapes, targeting 3.5 lakh persons in Odisha,” stated Director, Environment-cum-Special Secretary to Forest and Environment Department, Susanta Nanda, while congratulating Jajati Karan for the documentary.
