Balasore: One person was critically injured after a truck hit a container from behind near NH 60 Ambaliatha Bypass under Jalashwar police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district on Monday morning.
The driver of the container who was trapped inside the vehicle has been admitted to a local hospital in a critical condition.
According to reports, the accident occurred when a container carrying a parcel from Balasore to Kharagpur was hit by a truck from behind near Ambaliatha Bypass. As a result, the driver of the container lost control over the wheel and the vehicle overturned. Police attributed the accident to dense fog in the area.
The driver of the container got trapped inside the vehicle’s cabin. The locals informed the Fire Services and police about the accident and the latter rescued the container driver about two hours of effort.
