One Dead, 2 Critical After Car Rams Into Two-Wheeler

Balasore: One person was killed and two critically injured after a car rammed into a scooter on National Highway No 57 near Chanapokhari Square in Karmada of Balasore district on Tuesday morning as visibility reduced drastically due to dense fog.

The deceased has been identified as Abanti Kar, a native of Kasida village in West Bengal.

According to reports, there was dense fog in the morning due to which the visibility was limited. Kar was travelling from Karmada towards her home when a car coming from Chandaneswar hit the two-wheeler.

The victims were rushed to the Karmada Community Health centre (CHC) where one of them was declared dead by the doctors.

The two critically injured are undergoing treatment at the CHC. Kamarda police reached the accident spot and started a probe into the matter.
