One Dead, Another Critically Injured As Bike Collides With Bridge In Balasore

Balasore: One person was killed and another sustained severe injuries when the bike they were travelling in lost balance and collided with a railing of a bridge at Soro on National Highway 16 on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Ladar Murmu from Bhadrak, and the injured person was identified as Makarand Suren.

According to reports, Murmu and Suren were traveling on a pulsar bike from Bhadrak to Bahanaga’s Barikpur Hata when their vehicle lost balance and collided with the railing of the Railway Overbridge. Murmu succumbed to injuries on the spot, while Suren was rushed to Soro Hospital in critical condition thanks to prompt intervention of the National Patrolling Police.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
