One Dead, Another Critically Injured In Bike Accident In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: One person was killed and another was critically injured when the motorcycle on which they were travelling met with an accident this afternoon on the under-construction Bharat Mala road near Chelibeda under Dabugaon police station limits in Nabarangpur district.

The deceased has been identified as Sudana Sana (28), a resident of Nuaguda village, while Deepak Bala (55), also from Nuaguda, sustained critical injuries.

According to reports, the two had travelled to Malkangiri on a motorcycle for work-related purposes and were returning to their village in the afternoon. Around 4 PM, while riding along the Nabarangpur-Umerkote stretch of the Bharat Mala road near Chelibeda, their motorcycle reportedly lost control—possibly due to the ongoing construction and poor road conditions—and crashed.

Locals rushed to the Dabugaon Community Health Centre. Unfortunately, doctors declared Sudana Sana dead on arrival. Deepak Bala, who suffered serious injuries, was later shifted to the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment.

Dabugaon police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.

The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through Nuaguda village, with the community mourning the sudden loss of Sudana Sana and expressing hope for the recovery of Deepak Bala.
