Berhampur: In a tragic road accident in Ganjam district, one person lost his life, and two others sustained injuries when a bus of Mukhyamantri Bus Seva collided with a motorcycle. The incident occurred at Gambharia Square on Tuesday.
According to reports, Binayak Sabar, from Badapadar village under the Beguniapada police station, was traveling with three others, including an 8-month-old infant, on a motorcycle from Sinhasini. Their bike collided head-on with the bus, which was en route from Polasara to Sinhasini. Binayak succumbed to his injuries at the spot, while two pillion riders, identified as Manu Sabar and Priyanka Sabar, were injured.
Emergency services arrived promptly, with police sending Manu and Priyanka to the community health center (CHC) in Beguniapada. Remarkably, the infant, who was being held by Priyanka, survived the accident uninjured. Authorities have registered a case and sent Binayak’s body for a post-mortem examination.
