Bhubaneswar: One worker died and 4 others sustained injuries after the roof centering of an under-construction building collapsed at Soral village under Golanthara police station of Ganjam district, on Tuesday.
All the injured people have been admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The deceased as well as injured were from Soral village.
The mishap took place when five workers were opening roof centering in an under-construction house at Soral village. All the workers were trapped under the centering as a portion of roof centering fell on them.
Locals rushed the five to a nearby hospital where doctors declared one of them brought dead. Remaining four labourers are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Upon being informed, police rushed to the spot and began an investigation.
