Puri: One person has been detained in connection with the loot of a ballot box from a booth at Kasijharia village in Chapamanik gram panchayat of Puri district.
As per sources, the investigation is underway and other accused persons will be nabbed soon.
Reportedly, some miscreants had looted a ballot box from Booth No 9 at Kasijharia during the first phase of the five-phased three-tier Panchayat elections in Odisha on Wednesday.
Following it, polling had been stopped at the said booth and police had initiated a search to trace the whereabouts of the miscreants and the ballot box.
