Keonjhar: One person was killed and another critically injured after the car they were travelling by tumbled after hitting a divider near the Hasanpur toll gate on National Highway 20 under Ramchandrapur police limits in Odisha’s Keonjhar district late Thursday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ajay Sahu, a resident of Ghatgaon, while the injured is Kulamani Sahu of Kainipura village under Ghasipura police limits in the district.
According to reports, Ajay Sahu, who was driving the vehicle, was feeling drowsy and lost control of the wheel. As a result, the car crashed against a divider and overturned, killing him.
Locals rescued the two passengers and rushed them to the Anandpur Community Health Center (CHC) where the doctors pronounced Ajay dead. Kulamani Sahu sustained critical injuries and was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after his condition started deteriorating.
