Nayagarh: One person was killed and at least four injured in a violent clash that took place in Krushnaprasad village under Itamati police limits here today. The incident sparked palpable tension in the village following which forces have been deployed to check further escalation of the situation. The deceased was identified as Aniruddha Nayak.
According to reports, two groups were involved in a fist-off which intensified into a violent fight. There was an exchange of fire from both sides, in which one person was killed. The injured have been shifted to the district headquarters hospital while the police is probing into the incident. At least 13 rounds were fired in the clash, said reports.
