Jharsuguda: One person died while three persons were injured following a welding gas cylinder blast at a Sponge Iron factory in Raghunathpali under Kolabira police limits of Jharsuguda district in the wee hours of Thursday.
Reportedly, the incident occurred at around 4 AM today in the factory of Jai Hanuman Udyog Limited. A security guard identified as Sailesh Sahu died in the mishap.
All the injured persons were first rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, Jharsuguda, from where one was shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla as his condition was critical.
