Bhubaneswar: A 27-year-old youth was killed in lightning strike on Tangi-Mangalajodi road in Khordha district on Saturday.
The deceased youth has been identified as Abhay Mohapatra of Kantalbai village in Khordha district.
According to reports, while Abhay was on his way to his sister’s place lightning struck him near a peepul tree on Tangi-Mangalajodi road.
Passersby who found Abhay lying on the road unconsious rushed him to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Tangi.
However, he was pronounced dead by the attending doctors at the CHC.
