Dhenkanal: One person was killed in an LPG cylinder explosion on Wednesday in the Kunjakanta locality of the district headquarters town of Dhenkanal.
The deceased has been identified as Sambhu Prasad Rath.
According to reports, at around 8.00 PM locals in the Kunjakanta area heard the sound of a huge explosion from the rented house where Sambhu Prasad Rath was residing.
Panic-struck locals informed the Fire Service. On reaching the spot, Fire Service personnel extinguished the blaze but by that time Sambhu Prasad was charred to death.
Dhenkanal Town police on reaching the spot are investigating the matter.
