Cuttack: The online ticket sale for One-Day International (ODI) between India and West Indies, scheduled at the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on December 22, will start from 10 AM tomorrow, informed Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Sanjay Behera on Wednesday.
To avoid any discrepancy in the sale of tickets, the OCA has partnered with a trusted brand Paytm. The tickets will be available at www.paytm.com, he added.
Cyclone FANI and internal issues of OCA had raised a doubt if the ODI will be held at Barabati or not, but now the doubt has been cleared and people are engaged on war footing basis to restore the damaged infrastructure, said Behera.
The OCA is attempting to restore the basic infrastructure needed for the match and remaining issues will be addressed in a later stage, he added.
Cuttack DCP Akhileshvar Singh, who had visited the stadium to review the progress of the work, expressed his satisfaction and said he will be visiting the stadium in a week to review the pending work regarding public utility, safety and security.
He further informed that there will be proper barricading of the 15 counters set up outside the stadium for sale of offline tickets. Adequate police personnel will be deployed at the spot to maintain discipline.
