Bhubaneswar: The Home Department has asked senior officials and heads of departments to use the ‘e-Bhawan’ portal – (bhawan.homeodisha.gov.in) to book or reserve rooms in different ‘Bhawans’ or guest houses belonging to Government of Odisha in locations across the country.
In a notification issued on May 7, the Home Department noted that most of the reservations for the ‘Bhawans’ are being made offline. This defeats the very purpose of launching an online reservation portal, if the most of the bookings are physical ones, the notification read. Henceforth, the Home Department will entertain only those bookings which are made online from May 15 onwards.
