Operation Netra: Police Bust Drug Peddling Racket In Brajrajnagar, 2 Arrested

Brajrajnagar: Acting on specific intelligence inputs under “Operation Netra”, Brajrajnagar police in Jharsuguda district carried out a late-night raid near the Rajpur petrol pump field and arrested two individuals allegedly involved in the illegal sale of banned cough syrup and narcotic tablets.

The accused, identified as Prakash Kandra (21) and Akash Kandra (23) of Rajpur Turi Pada, were taken into custody after police intercepted them during the illicit transaction.

During the raid, the police seized 120 bottles of Wincerex cough syrup, 400 Nitrazepam tablets, cash amounting to ₹2,070, and a motorcycle without a number plate.

Both accused were produced before the court today. Brajrajnagar SDPO Chintamani Pradhan informed that the crackdown is part of the district’s intensified action against drug trafficking networks.
