Bhubaneswar: OPTCL was today awarded the ‘CBIP Award 2022’ by the Central Board of Irrigation & Power (CBIP), Union Ministry of Power for ‘Best Performing Transmission Power Sector ’.
Sanjay Kumar Mishra, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, OPTCL along with Prashanta Kumar Majhi, Sr General Manager and Chitta Ranjan Mishra, DGM received the award from R K Singh, Union Minister of Power at SCOPE Convention Centre in New Delhi, said an official press release.
OPTCL has been conferred with this award for the first time since its inception, for its remarkable Project Execution, Asset Addition, System Availability, Innovative Measures, Disaster Mitigation, Safety Initiatives and adoption & harnessing of the latest Technologies & Smart Solutions, Turnaround Strategies Best efficiency and Environmental Criteria for transmitting Quality, Reliable and Secured power with minimum transmission loss to its stakeholders.
CBIP since its inception in 1927 confers with this award on its Foundation Day to distinguished power utilities in recognition of their excellent performance and achievements. The selection of the award is made by a high-powered jury on the basis of performance criteria.
