OPTCL Commissions Crucial Aska Digapahandi D/C Line

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) today successfully test charged the 76 ckt km long EHV 132 KV Aska – Digapahandi D/C line at 2:40 PM in Ganjam district.

This is an important transmission line, which shall act as a back up power source to feed Berhampur city and its command area during outage of Narendrapur grid due to cyclone, OPTCL stated.

“Conceived under the DRPS scheme being executed by OPTCL, this line will increase the reliability of power infeed to the Berhampur city, Chikiti and Digapahandi in Ganjam district, Mohana and Parlakhemundi in Gajapati district and Akhusingh in Rayagada district,” a senior official of the Corporation said.
