Bhubaneswar: The Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water Department is planning to take up exhibition and sale of organic turmeric in the State Level Mango Festival, said Minister Pratap Jena on Sunday.
Steps are to be taken through Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS) for marketing of organic turmeric, he added.
He informed that as women SHG members are producing various kinds of products, the department has decided to set up store fronts for them at all district headquarters in the first phase and later at various block headquarters for sale and marketing of the same.
The department has also set a target to provide pure drinking water to all people in rural areas across Odisha within 2024 and steps in this regard are being taken, said Jena.
