Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Thursday disposed of the anticipatory bail plea of Tanmay Mohanty (Babushaan). Mohanty’s wife had filed a case under Section 498(A) with Kharvela Nagar police.
The High Court stated that there is no need to file an anticipatory bail plea in the case as Babushaan was cooperating with the investigation, said Mohanty’s counsel Dharanidhar Nayak.
The police have recorded the statement of the actor under Section 42 CrPC. Earlier on July 27, Babushaan had moved the HC seeking anticipatory bail in connection with the case filed by his wife Trupti Satpathy with the Kharavela Nagar police. The acotr, anticipating legal issues, had moved the High Court seeking anticipatory bail.
