Bhubaneswar: The Orissa High Court today put a stay on the recruitment of constables for the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB).

A single bench of the High Court had earlier allowed overage candidates to sit for the examination. Following this directive, the examination for these overage candidates was conducted, but their results have not been announced yet.

Initially, the recruitment for over 1,800 constable positions in IRB was set to commence on March 17. However, the High Court has now halted these proceedings until further order. The court posted the matter to March 20 for the next hearing.
