Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government will run premium bus services from different parts of the State to facilitate a safe and comfortable journey for pilgrims traveling to Uttar Pradesh for the Maha Kumbh 2025.

The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) will operate these high-end buses from January 13 to February 26, ensuring hassle-free travel for devotees attending the mega religious event.

The premium buses will connect key cities in Odisha, including Puri, Sambalpur, Bhawanipatna, and Berhampur, to Ayodhya. Each route will have two buses equipped with modern amenities such as sleeper seats, mobile charging ports, infotainment systems, and advanced safety features, including fire safety mechanisms, panic buttons, a tracking system, and Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS).

To make the services affordable and accessible, pilgrims can book tickets through the OSRTC website (osrtc.org), the OSRTC mobile app, or by visiting ticket counters of the state-run corporation. For additional convenience, the state government has provided a toll-free helpline (1800-345-1122) and a WhatsApp number (78490052205) to address passenger inquiries.

Pilgrims can also find detailed information about routes and stoppages on the official OSRTC website and social media platforms. Furthermore, OSRTC officials will be stationed onboard the buses and at Varanasi to assist Odia pilgrims during their journey.

The initiative underscores the state government’s commitment to ensuring a seamless travel experience for devotees participating in one of India’s largest spiritual gatherings.
