Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) will soon introduce curated city trails under the Odisha Walks in Cuttack, Puri and Sambalpur. The project is likely to become functional from January 2025.
“The Odisha Walks aims to make Cuttack, Puri and Sambalpur attractive urban destinations for tourism and living. As part of the Odisha Tourism initiatives, Odisha Walks shall add value for the best trail experience curated by OTDC for the citizens, tourists and visitors. Celebrating the cities and their rich history and natural resources along with physical infrastructure of amenities is the idea of such trails,” a statement issued by the OTDC read.
Various thematic trails will be developed, each tailored to highlight the unique heritage and stories of each city, the release said.
OTDC Managing Director has invited Expression of Interest from eligible agencies/bidders for conceptualisation and execution of the trails to be held every weekend during tourism season till March 2025, by December 16.
The OTDC has also suggested some points/locations for reference. “However, the agency shall explore and propose the locations after due consultation with the OTDC,” it added.
