Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has taken stringent measures to prevent question paper leaks in the upcoming Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) exam, scheduled to begin on September 27.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the examination and maintain its integrity, the board has implemented robust security features in the question papers.

Going by the board’s preparation, each question paper will have a watermark and a unique serial code, enabling the board to track the source of any leak. The question papers will be stored in tin boxes with digital locks and manual keys, ensuring secure transportation to examination centers. Additionally, the movement of question papers from the board office to examination centers will be tracked using GPS technology.

The question papers will be stored in strong rooms with CCTV coverage at examination centers, and the board’s control room will monitor the entire process. The board has taken these measures to prevent any irregularities and ensure a fair examination process.

It is pertinent to mention that the OTET exam will be conducted in 193 centers across the state, with 75,403 candidates appearing for the test.

Notably, the board’s decision to enhance security measures comes after previous instances of question paper leaks led to controversies and arrests, including the board’s vice-president. With these stringent measures in place, the board is confident of conducting a transparent and secure examination process.
