Jharsuguda: The BJP organized a massive bike rally in the city on Friday evening on the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
The rally, which drew participation from over 1,000 bikers, showcased the party’s preparations and enthusiasm ahead of the Prime Minister’s arrival.
The rally commenced from BTM Ground, passed through Beheramal Chhak and Puruna Bus Stand, before culminating at Sarbahal Chhak.
Senior BJP leaders, including State BJP President Manmohan Samal, MP Pradeep Purohit, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj, and Jharsuguda MLA Tankadhar Tripathi, joined the event, energizing party cadres and supporters.
Prime Minister Modi will arrive in Jharsuguda on September 27, where he is scheduled to address a public meeting at Amlipali ground.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for several key projects, many of which are aimed at benefiting the people of Odisha.
Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements are underway. On Thursday, DGP Yogesh Bahadur Khurania inspected the meeting venue and reviewed security protocols, including surveillance camera installation, vehicle checks, and movement from the airport to the site. He was accompanied by ADG Law and Order Santosh Barla, Northern Range IG Himanshu Lal, Jharsuguda SP G.R. Raghavendra, Bargarh SP Prahlad Sahay Meena, and Sonepur SP Narayan Naik, among others.
