Bhubaneswar: In a remarkable achievement within less than a year of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi taking office, the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell has successfully addressed over 10,000 public petitions, resolving an impressive 83% of them.
This milestone was confirmed by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) through its official social media handle on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the CMO’s post, “In less than a year, Hon’ble CM Shri @MohanMOdisha has made citizen grievance redressal central to #Odisha’s governance. Weekly hearings at the CM’s grievance cell have addressed 10K+ petitions with 83% resolved.”

The initiative is part of the state government’s commitment to ensuring responsive and transparent governance.
Recently, the state also sanctioned a sum of Rs 30.5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for urgent medical assistance, showcasing its dedication to providing tangible support to citizens in need.
The CMO emphasized that this was not merely a symbolic gesture, but a concrete effort to assist the people.
“This is about real help, not just optics. A new era of accountable, people-first governance has begun,” the post further stated.
