Koraput: Over 20 cattle were killed and several others injured after a container truck transporting them to Andhra Pradesh overturned on the Ralegada ghat road along National Highway-26 on Saturday.
The accident occurred after the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while navigating a steep stretch.
In addition to the cattle casualties, the truck driver and two other individuals sustained injuries in the mishap.
Pottangi police reached the site soon after the incident and have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident, as well as the legality of the cattle transport.
