Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has directed all district collectors and security officers to identify Bangladeshi infiltrators and ensure their deportation to their home country, as informed by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the state assembly on Monday.
Responding to a question by BJP Brahmagiri MLA Upasana Mohapatra, the Chief Minister revealed that 3,738 Bangladeshi nationals are residing illegally in various districts across the state.
He further explained that these infiltrators primarily enter Odisha through waterways.
In light of this, the Odisha government has instructed all district collectors and security officers to identify these illegal residents and ensure their deportation to their home country.
