Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE), Odisha, has announced the results of Phase-I (1st Selection) for +2 e-Admissions for the academic session 2025–26, marking a major milestone in the digital admission process.
According to an official press release issued by the School & Mass Education Department on Monday, out of 4,46,205 applicants, a total of 4,13,804 students have been selected—reflecting a high selection rate of 92.75%.
The selection process, conducted through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal, covered admissions across five streams: Arts, Science, Commerce, Vocational, and Upashastri (Sanskrit).
Stream-wise Selection Breakdown:
Arts: 2,64,766 students
Science: 1,17,089 students
Commerce: 20,552 students
Upashastri (Sanskrit): 6,811 students
Vocational: 4,586 students
Gender-wise Selection Statistics:
Female: 2,17,529 students
Male: 1,96,268 students
Others: 7 students
First Choice Allotments and Unselected Applicants
Out of the total selected students, 2,87,219 have secured their first-choice Higher Secondary School, indicating a smooth and efficient allocation system. However, 32,401 students remain unselected in this round. These students will still have opportunities in subsequent rounds, including the second selection phase and the Online Spot Selection process.
Classes for +2 (Class XI) are scheduled to commence on July 24, 2025, across Higher Secondary Schools in the state.
