Bhubaneswar: As many as 5,51,237 new electors have been added to the new voter list that has been released by the state election commission.
Similarly, a total of 18,7405 voters have been excluded from the list during special summary revision of electoral rolls prepared from October 27 to November 23.
A communiqué issued by the chief electoral officer, Odisha, informed that a maximum of 45,398 new voters have been included in Khurda district while Cuttack stood in the second spot with 44,732 new electors. Ganjam remained in the third position adding 39,297 new voters in the revised list.
A maximum of 27,412 voters have been excluded from the list in Bargarh district. The second highest number of electors has been excluded from the list in Jajpur district while Bolangir came in third spot with the exclusion of 16,907 electors from the voter list.
