Bhubaneswar: The Covid-19 vaccination drive in Odisha has been expedited with over 5.62 crore doses administered till date, said State Nodal Officer for Immunisation-cum-Family Welfare Director Dr Bijay Panigrahi on Thursday.
As per last reports, 93.5% of eligible beneficiaries in the State have received the first dose and 74% have received the second dose.
Over 14 lakh individuals in the age group of 15 to 18 have been administered the vaccine. It is 59% of the target beneficiaries.
Around 3.87 lakh of precaution doses have been administered to healthcare and frontline workers and comorbid people aged 60 and above.
The number of Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs) has been increased. Today vaccination is underway at 3,262 CVCs.
Around 21 lakh beneficiaries are yet to receive the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Door-to-door campaign is underway to identify and motivate them.
