Bhubaneswar: Over 67 per cent polling was recorded till 5 PM in 96-Patkura assembly constituency on Saturday, informed Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Surendra Kumar.

The CEO said that polling is still underway at the 309 booths. Till last reports around 1,27,431 male and 1,17,306 female voters had exercised their franchise. Polling will be concluded only after all the persons present at the booths at 6 PM cast their votes.

He further informed that there has been a peaceful and disciplined polling. While four companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) were deployed at 71 critical or sensitive booths, over 55 platoons of State Armed Police Forces were deployed at other polling stations.

Force multipliers or non-CAPF measures were implemented at around 140 booths, including web casting at 31, CCTV at 40, micro observers at 52 and videography at 15 polling stations, said Kumar.
