Over Rs 20 Cr Released For SC/ST Atrocity Victims In Last 10 Months: Minister

Bhubaneswar: The state government has released a total of Rs 20,34,50,050 in favor of 2,116 victims of SC/ST atrocities from June 2024 to the present (March 2025).

This amount has been disbursed according to the norms set in Rule 12(4) of the SCs and STs (POA) Rules, 1995.

Minister of ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare, Nityananda Gond provided this information in response to a question from Barabati-Cuttack MLA Sofia Firdous in the state assembly on Friday.

Gond also highlighted the operationalization of an online portal named “SAACAR,” designed to ensure the timely disbursement of funds and to provide necessary support to the victims.

A district-wise breakdown of the funds released and the number of beneficiaries has been provided below:
