OWSSB Assistant Project Manager Arrested By Vigilance For Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: The Assistant Project Manager at the Orissa Water Supply and Sewerage Board (OWSSB) in Bhubaneswar, has been arrested by the Vigilance department for possessing disproportionate assets.

Debasis Sahoo will be presented before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar today.

A case has been registered against Sahoo under Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case No.4/2025. Searches conducted on his properties revealed disproportionate assets, including a 3 multi-storeyed buildings and 2 shops in a market complex at Jatni, two high-value plots in Jatni, gold ornaments weighing approximately 200 grams, deposits over Rs.56 lakhs, cash amounting to Rs.1.57 lakhs

Sahoo was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for these assets, leading to his arrest. The OWSSB is a nodal agency responsible for implementing projects related to urban sanitation in Odisha.
