Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths launched simultaneous searches at seven locations linked to Debasis Sahoo, Assistant Project Manager, Orissa Water Supply & Sewerage Board (OWSSB), Bhubaneswar.
The searches are being carried out amid allegations that Sahoo has accumulated disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.
The searches, led by seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), nine inspectors, 10 assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs) and other supporting staff, are being conducted at the following locations:
- His residential house at Main Road, Jatni, Khordha
- His rented residential house at Sukanti Devi Enclave, Aiginia. Bhubaneswar.
- Double-story building of Sahoo at Sardar Patel Marg, Jatni, Khordha.
- His triple storyed (Under Construction) building at Sardar Patel Marg, Jatni, Khordha.
- Two shops at Banadurga Market Complex, Jatni, Khordha
- House of his relative at Choudwar in Cuttack
- His office at Bhubaneswar
The searches are being carried out on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
