Today, one oxygen tanker broke down under Banarpal Police Station of Angul district. Angul police acted swiftly and arranged for a mechanic. The tanker was repaired and has now left for its destination – Vijaywada.
Earlier on May 8, two tankers carrying oxygen from Angul met with an accident, one at Hidol Ghati, Cuttack, and the other at Banki, Khurda.
In a swift joint operation by the SPs and police teams of 3 districts under the coordination of ADGP (Law & Order) YK Jethwa, JCBs and cranes were arranged, the tankers were brought on the road, repaired by bringing mechanics and spares at the spot and their journeys resumed without any delay.
