Bhubaneswar: The granddaughter of freedom fighter Pabitra Mohan Pradhan, Ranjita Rani Pradhan and members of Pabitra Mohan Smruti Parishad today met 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian at Naveen Niwas and thanked him.
They also expressed gratitude to CM Naveen Patnaik for taking several measures to preserve the memory of the leader of Praja Mandal Movement and former Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha.
The Chief Minister has also decided to establish a memorial museum in his name along with a bridge over the Brahmani River, Pabitra Mohan Medical College in Talcher and a life-sized statue of him in Bhubaneswar.
All this has been done under the direct supervision of 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman.
Ranjita and members of the Smruti Parishad said that the state government’s initiative will keep Pabitra Mohan’s memory alive forever.
5T Chairman Pandian said that the Chief Minister has deep respect for the great freedom fighters of the state. The state government has always taken steps to protect their memory. Pabitra Mohan is a role model for the youth of the state. The State government is working with a commitment to protect his memory, he added.
