Bhubaneswar: Padma Shri awardee Kamala Pujari, who was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital on January 5, was discharged from the health institution after successful treatment.
A team of experts from Medicine, Nephrology, and other departments was attending to the 74-year-old social worker.
He was discharged following significant improvement in her health. She was advised to consult doctors at the premier hospital if required, said Dr Jayant Panda, Professor of Medicine.
She was admitted to the New Medicine ward of the SCB after being shifted from the Koraput district Headquarters hospital.
She was suffering from multiple ailments including kidney-related disease, anemia and others.
Pujari has been taken to her native village in Koraput in a special ambulance.
